Interviewers Don’t Expect You to Know It All
When you’re asked a question you simply don’t know the answer to, don’t panic. Do these things instead:
- Realize that interviewers ask tough questions to find out how you react to stressful situations.
- Breathe, pause and ask for a moment to collect your thoughts (this will help fill any awkward silence).
- Instead of guessing, explain your thought process and the steps you’d take to find out the answer. Demonstrating logical and creative thinking is more important than getting the answer right.
